Over the last month the two grade ⅞ classes Snow Lake & Turnberry have been reading a book called “Half Brother”. We have been doing this over via Skype it has its good days when it is clear and then it has its bad days when we have to read on our own. Usually Mrs. Durnin & Mr Fisher take turns reading one day Mrs. Durnin and the next Mr Fisher.In the book “Half Brother” there is a family of three in the 1970’s. The father needed a chimp for university research so the mother brought home a chimp to help the father with the chimp research.
In the book “Half Brother” Ben the protagonist decided to be responsible and help his mother and be a good friend/brother to Zan, during this Ben’s father is trying to hire a co-worker and Richard isn’t sure if Peter is the right choice but in the end Peter gets hired. This reminds me of when I take responsibility and started helping my brother take care of his dog.
